Tokio reveals that music actually kept him out of trouble, otherwise he would have ended up somewhere he doesn’t want to be—in the company of gangs or in jail. The young man even witnessed the murder of his headmaster in school, at the age of 11.
But speaking about his past, and his experience on the infamous show, the pianist says that he is so happy to have turned his life around when he did. He finds himself to be lucky for the the opportunity and to be where he is in life, today.
